A rich, velvety sauce that would be good on chicken, vegetables, rice, and baked potatoes. I love this recipe, it is perfect for winter dinners. You can adjust the amount of garlic based on your personal tastes.

  1. Melt butter in medium sauce pan over low heat. When butter is completely melted, whisk in flour to make a roux. Keep heat low, whisk out all lumps. Add milk, garlic, and seasons and continue whisking while cooking on low heat. Right before service, remove from heat and let stand for one to two minutes to allow sauce to completely thicken.
