A yummy spread great on bagels, English muffins, toast, etc. Enjoy!
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1⁄2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 3⁄4 cup diced dried mixed fruit
- Beat cream cheese, honey and spices with a high-speed mixer until all ingredients are well combined and fluffy. Stir in dried fruit.
- Spread desired amount on a hot toasted bagel. Store the rest covered in refrigerator up to 1 week.
- Makes 1 1/3 cups.
Yummy quick little fruity dip! I used fat-free cream cheese and a little less honey than recipe called for. I used a combination of dried apricots and plums and stirred everything up with a spoon until combined. I spread some on a toasted cinnamon bagel and some on sliced apple for breakfast this morning - it was great both ways.... I do think sliced almonds would be a nice added crunch. Made for Zaar Stars.
Very good spread Sharon! love it! I used dried raspberries, blueberries and montmorency cherries.Also used spreadable cream cheese(kind in the tubbie) So nice with multi-grain toasted bagels. I didnt add the honey it was plenty sweet enough for me! Thanks for sharing this great recipe.
Wow this was good! I used reduced fat cream cheese, and my dried fruit was 1/2 dried cherries and 1/2 dried cranberries. I also used 1 tsp of my 'sweet spice blend' #164342. Perfect on bagles, tea cookies and stuffed into celery.
