This had been a family holiday classic for years. However, my husband doesn't eat boiled eggs. Way back when we substitued crumbled bacon for the eggs. All I can say to either recipe is... YUM!
Very easy to make and cooked up quickly. I did have a bit of trouble thickening up the sauce on top of the stove, but it thickened up nicely in the oven. Made for ZWTIII
This is the first time I've made asparagus like this. I enjoyed the eggs in this dish. Used my frozen asparagus from last year. I should have thawed them and let the extra water drain off of them but I was in a hurry. I'll be making this again with this years crop. Thank you for posting. Made for Zaar Tag game 2007.
Wonderful! I easily halved this recipe and used a smaller casserole dish. I left my asparagus a little crisp, so it wouldn't get to soft when baking. I am definitely going to make this to take to my parent's Easter dinner; I know my mom will love this! Thanx for posting.
