So easy, and very yummy for the summer! The chives give it a great zing! It's a keeper.

Made this for Easter as a cool side dish/salad option. Came out reallly sweet to our taste, but we dumped more sour cream, pepper, n salt until we could stand it. I think next time we'll try plain yogurt n see what happens... Thanks for something different! -Christina

I had cucumbers from my garden, so I went in search of a creamy recipe, using them. Yours was unique, in that it didn't require covering them in salt, first, to get the moisture out. Since I was in a hurry, I tried your recipe. I really liked it, although I did add snipped dill, as well, since I had it growing in my Aerogarden, along with the chives, and most other recipes called for it, too. It was light and yummy; although, since the cucumbers were not devoid of moisture, it became pretty soupy, quickly. I would recommend this recipe be made and eaten, within a couple of hours. Yum; thanks!

I had two cucumbers I needed to use up so made this as a side dish tonight. I followed the recipe exactly as written other then I used Splenda instead of sugar as that is all I buy. This was good but even after letting it sit for six hours I thought it could have used more flavor.

Love these! I remember these from when I was a little! I couldn't get chives, so I used a green onion. I used 1/4 tsp. each of salt and pepper. Left the seeds in the cucumber and they tasted great! Thanks for this wonderful recipe!

Great recipe. I have made similar recipes before, but never heard of adding sugar. I was kind of leary, but added it in. I was wonderful. I also added 4 shakes of Louisana Hot Sause, for a kicked up flavor. I then garnished the top with dill weed and paprika. I didn't have any chives. This recipe is a keeper. I used 4 cucumbers and the bowl was devoured with 10 minutes. Thanks so much!

This is a great recipe!! I used half sour cream & half fat free yogurt as our store refuses to carry low fat sour cream. Makes me crazy :) I also left the seeds in as I was using little crisp cukes fresh from the garden. Next time I will try adding some red onion but they were great as is. Thanks for a yummy recipe Kelly!!

I have searched a long time for a recipe for cucumbers like my grandmother made when I was a child. I think this is very close, or perhaps right on (memories,it seems, are not always true!) We liked these alot. Thanks for posting!!!

I use to have these at Pasta Fresca (no longer in business) and they were wonderful. This recipe is IT. I too added dill and white pepper. Thanks!

I really enjoyed this. Lovely and creamy. I didn't scoop the seeds out and didn't think it needed it. Thanks for posting.

Very good! I'd never had a side dish like this before, so I wasn't sure what to expect. The dressing was just right--not too rich, not too sweet. We had it with BBQ beef ribs, and they were a great foil to the sweet, rich ribs. My DH thought at first that they were too bland, but once he'd started in on the ribs, he changed his mind and thought they were just right, too. Thanks!

My wife and I enjoyed making this dish, and enjoyed eating them even more! We added plenty of pepper and also added dried dillweed to the final mixture, and it came out wonderful! It was a cool, refreshing side dish to our potluck Memorial Day barbecue. Thanks for posting!

We enjoyed this cucumber side! I left the peel on because it`s good for you. Made half the recipe. Used scallions in place of the chives. But did garnish with dried chives.Used low fat sour cream & still was creamy! Thanks for a creamy recipe!

I just finished preparing this dish for tonight's supper and snuck a taste... they are wonderful! This would be a great addition to any barbeque or picnic. Doubles well.

MMMMM! This was very good! If you want to cut fat and still have that "oomph" don't do it. If you follow the recipe, you will love it! Thanks Kelly for a great recipe!
