This is really a very easy fudge recipe. Great gift to give around Christmas 8)

- 1 (12 ounce) bag semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup confectioners' deluxe white baking bar (or 6 oz white confectioners' coating)
- 1 tablespoon peppermint extract
- 1 drop green food coloring (optional) or 1 drop red food coloring (optional)
- 1In a heavy saucepan over low heat, melt the chips with 1 cup sweetened condensed milk.
- 2Add the vanilla extract; combine.
- 3Spread half of mixture into wax paper-lined 8 or 9-inch square pan.
- 4Chill for 10 minutes or until firm.
- 5Hold remaining chocolate mixture at room temperature.
- 6In heavy saucepan over low heat, melt the white baking pieces with remaining condensed milk.
- 7Add peppermint extract and the food coloring.
- 8Spread onto the cold chocolate layer; chill 10 minutes longer or until firm.
- 9Spread remaining chocolate mixture on mint layer.
- 10Chill until firm.
