  1. Tastes great -- quick and very easy to make. My husband thought it was heavenly. ;) I used it on a large sheet cake (12 x 17) and it was plenty - not enough to store any, but still enough left to lick the spoon a few times. ;)

  2. Wonderful and creamy! A very nice frosting recipe which I combined with Cindy Lynn's recipe for Chocolate Cake (recipe #25080) and it proved to be a great choice! I used the entire amount to frost one 13x9" cake. I followed Nezz's directions to the letter and had great results! Thanks again, MizzNezz, for another great recipe!

  3. I used this recipe because the reviews were so good. My family all thought that it was much to sweet. It didn't do anything for my cake. I don't think that I would use this frosting again. Sorry

  4. DELICIOUS! This is the best chocolate frosting I have ever made, hands down, and I have made a lot! I did add one extra square of baking chocolate, and about 1/4 cup of cocoa powder because I was a little low on powdered sugar, and it was excellent! Thanks for posting this recipe!

  5. Taste is great! I added a little butter as I was under the measure for cream cheese. I was under for frsoting the sides on my layer cake, but I may have used too much in the middle andon top.

Tweaks

  1. Yum, Yum, YUM! At first it was a bit thick and I could tell right away 2 ounces of chocolate wasn't enough chocolate flavor for my liking...BUT thats the beauty of this recipe, you can adjust it to your liking...Its easier to just add more of an ingredient then it is to take away ingredients once the recipe has been made...right?... The only changes I did was, of course, added somemore Chocolate(about3 more ounces) and subbed a 1/2 cup of cocoa powder for 1/2 cup of Powdered sugar....and added an extra teaspoon of milk at the end to soften up the frosting.... The flavor is divine and the texture is the perfectly creamy...

After DH and I moved away from the farm, and to the city...I haven't done as much cooking and very little canning. But I do come to Zaar and look for new recipes once in a while. I'm still cooking Zaar!! I like to play at Facebook, with my family and friends. A lot of my Zaar friends are there!! Yay! It's a good way to keep in touch. We travel more. We're looking at the European trips now. Hope to go in the springtime. I really want to see London, I think I lived there in a past life, I've been obsessed with it since I was 10 years old!!
