I like that this is a healthier version of this cream soup. It was tasty and my teens ate it as well.I made it exactly as is (with white onion) but used a specialty lemony orzo. The taste was good, but the Italian herbs were a little much for my liking. I would definitely make it again, but omit the oregano, basil.
Very good soup for a cold night! I did do a few things different, I used a stick of butter instead of Olive Oil (I doubled everything)used green & white onions and added extra chicken bouillon. Turned out excellent!!
Mmmmmmmmmm. I didn't have celery, so I added frozen peas. Super delish! All 3 of my kiddos (7 and under) ate it up. That's saying something!

We really enjoyed this soup. It was thick but was enjoyed that way. Served with fresh crusty buns made for a great meal.I used 1% milk as that was what I had on hand and I did add fresh dill just before serving. Will certainly make this soup again. Thanks.
very good soup recipe. my first attempt at a homemade cream chicken soup...it was very simple to make and an easy to follow recipe. i was eager to make this and didnt want to wait till my next shopping trip so i ended up making it without the oregeno, marjoram or sage which i am certain makes the end result different, but if you dont have those items on hand the soup will still be delicious. other than leaving those spices out i followed the recipe exactly. will make it again with all ingredients listed. it came out rather thick which was fine but i added a bit more broth as suggested. thank you!
