Very good! I just used 2% milk, as that is what I had on hand, and added cornstarch to thicken it. I added smoked cheddar on top, and it was delicious. Definitely a keeper!
This soup is just wonderful. It has a rich, creamy broth and just the right amount of spices. I topped each serving with some cheddar cheese and it was a nice touch. I think that the parmesan would also be good with it as well. I will definitely be using this recipe again. Thanks for another great recipe, Kittencal.
We really enjoyed this for dinner last night with some garlic bread. Pay attention to the reviews that say this makes a TON! I loved the kick of heat at the back of this, but I did double the cayenne to a 1/4 teaspoon. I had no celery, so I added an extra can of cream of celery soup in addition to the chicken. I had to adjust the seasoning quite a bit after adding the egg noodles, as it seemed a bit bland, but I did add a whole 12 oz package of cooked noodles, so this was more stewish. I forgot to put cheese on top, but didn't miss it one bit. My picky hubby suggested this would be a really good lobster soup, and I agree. Thanks for a great recipe.
This was really good but it makes a ton. I followed the recipe as written other then I didn't add the optional cayenne pepper. We all really liked this. Hubby said this would be great made into a clam chowder. Will be making again.
Different but good. Creamy, with a little bit of heat. Absolutely a keeper recipe. Easy and simple but memorable.
One of my favorite soups and this one was great - love the creamy broth. I added fresh green beans and baby carrots. Topped with slices green onions and shredded cheddar cheese! It was fantastic!
