Yummy! I didn't have milk... so I sealed them with egg whites which worked wonderfully. The only other thing I changed was to put about a tablespoon of diced shallots into the mushrooms. Mmm!! Beautiful AND delicious.
These little parcels are wonderful. We enjoyed them hot for dinner and will have the rest cold for breakfast, I can't wait . What a treat, puffed pastry, french garlic cream cheese and mushrooms. The pastry is crisp, the filling is flavourful and creamy while the chicken and mushrooms are juicy and tender. Thank you for sharing a new family favourite. Update: They are just as wonderful cold or at room temperature as they are hot. :yummy:
So very easy, and so very good. I was lazy, so I thawed a sheet of puff pastry and cut it into three and then cut each strip into three- giving me 9 mini squares that I did not roll out- just filled. I baked these mini's for about 20 minutes @400, until a nice golden brown. Thanks for a great recipe.
WONDERFULL...just love this. l made this last week and they are fantastic and smooth especially when warm. Boy ever creamy! l followed everything except added garlic poweder and vwala!! Nice for picnics too. Merci for posting
these were really lovely! I used Boursin-Homemade, Boursin-homemade. I cooked up some chicken tenderloin, sliced mushrooms, and then added the cheese. I also added some oven dried tomatoes. I made some small parcels for dinner, and they were much enjoyed. I made up one big one, by using one sheet of pastry and heaps of filling. We had some for lunch, and I think I prefer it cold! Would be perfect for a flash luncheon with salad! Thanks FT, another good one :)
Thank you for a great recipe idea, the only difference I made was to add some fresh chopped garlic and a little fresh parsley chopped up.
These made 4 pies, my fiancé is a vegetarian so when I buy chicken I always have loads left over as no-on to share them with. I used my chicken scraps to make this, if anyone is reading the recipe and ingredients and is a bit put of, so was I as it didn't tell you HOW to combine the ingredients, so after my mushrooms cooked in the pan I just mixed in the Philadelphia garlic and herb until it semi-melted and all combined. These parcels are the best I've ever had, I will continue to make these.
Oh my goodness! This is so insanely delicious! I mis-read the mushrooms as 8 oz. instead of 3 but it turned out perfectly, I love mushrooms so I really enjoyed the deep mushroom flavor. I chopped them and browned them with the chicken and the salt, pepper, and parsley and then mixed in the cheese. I can't tell you enough how much we enjoyed this. It was incredibly easy and looks and tastes like fine dining. This is going to become my go-to dish when we have company over. Thank you so much for sharing this recipe!!
Very good! My husband loved it. I made the whole recipe, although we could only eat one apiece. I'm looking forward to trying the other two cold. Well done, FT.
These were delish. I didn't add the mushrooms because the picnickers weren't mushroom lovers. I made my own herb cream cheese (no dill) I was a little concerned that they weren't that attractive when I put them in the oven but they looked perfect cooked.
