Creamy Cheese Noodles

  • Bring a pot of water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook till au dente. Drain.
  • Meanwhile.
  • In a saute pan fry the bacon untill crisp. Set aside.
  • Discard all but 2 tablespoons of fat from the pan; or reserve the fat for another use.
  • Make a roux with the 2 tablespoons of fat and and flour; by incorporating the flour into the fat and cooking for 2-3 minutes.
  • Then slowly incoroporate the broth then the milk, wisking briskly. Cook till slightly thikened.
  • Stir in the swiss and cream cheese.
  • Stir the sauce into spaghetti. Top with bacon.

  1. Wow this was a great dish for being so easy! I used fettuccine noodles and honestly this could have been our main meal vs a side. Very creamy- yum! Made for PAC Spring 2011.
