- 1 1⁄2 cups corn syrup
- 3⁄4 cup white sugar
- 1 lb brown sugar
- 8 large marshmallows
- 1⁄2 cup butter
- 1 1⁄2 cups evaporated milk
- 1⁄2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 pinch salt
directions
- In small saucepan, boil sugar and syrup.
- Stir occasionally on medium heat to soft ball (240 degrees).
- Remove from heat.
- Add marshmallows and butter.
- Cool to taste and stir in milk.

This is extreemly good caramel. I was guessing on the soft ball stage because I couldnt find my thermometer anywhere, and it worked out. The marshmellows add a nice touch and I served this with your Best Ever Chocolate Sauce #40767, also using a recipe for Evaporated Milk #39562 because I was out of my canned. I had guests over and they raved over both sauces, and the whole time we mmmmmed. Thanks so much Lubie! Your the greatest!
