I was making another one of my recipes - Caramel Cream Cheese Apple Dip - and I got a little overboard and the caramel went over the plate. I knew I couldn't serve it to my guests that way and I also didn't want to waste cream cheese and caramel, so I put it in my mixer and blended it all together. The result was a rich and creamy apple dip. When you dip the apple pieces in it, it tastes just like a delicious caramel apple!
This had a nice flavor, but I think I must have over-processed it because I did not get a "fluffy" consistency. It set up better for me after being refrigerated for a while. Unfortunately, that was only after I had served it at my party.

I thought I had caramel ice cream topping, but what I had bought was T Marzetti's fat free caramel apple dip. I softened a block of fat free cream cheese, whipped them both together, and it is OMG good! Even though both were fat free and low calorie, they were still just PERFECT for the apples! Thanks for posting such an easy, delicious, and PERFECT dip!
