  1. In a large bowl, dissolve jello in boiling water.
  2. Cool for 10 minutes.
  3. Stir in pie filling and pineapple until blended.
  4. Transfer to a 9x13 inch dish.
  5. Cover and refrigerate until partially set, about 1 hour.
  6. For topping:.
  7. In a small bowl, combine the cream cheese, sour cream, sugar and vanilla.
  8. Carefully spread over jello and sprinkle with nuts.
  9. Cover and refrigerate until firm.

YUM! DH says it's way too sweet. I wish I had found sugar free grape jello. I wonder if a can of blueberries or frozen or even fresh would work as well vs. the pie filling? *I* think it's delicious. And very easy to make! I am going to go finish it now...... Made for Veggie Tag VIP 9/09. :)

I'm a big fan of 'Jello' & this recipe seemed to be calling out my name loud & clear! It was so easy to make this VERY, VERY TASTY DESSERT, & the recipe is a real keeper! I did use toasted almonds on the top AND also sprinkled about a cup of fresh blueberries over it as well! Thanks, much, for sharing the recipe!
