This tastes just like that orange-y ice cream bar you loved when you were a kid! From The Comfort Diner Cookbook.
- In the cup of a milkshake mixer or the pitcher of a blender, combine the ice cream, sherbet, and orange juice.
- Blend for 3 minutes in a milkshake mixer or 1 to 1 1/2 minutes in a blender.
- The milkshake should be so thick that a straw stands up on its own in the middle of the shake.
I didn't get to make this for the Winter Comfort Cafe,Jan.2010,so I saved it to my cookbooks. SO HAPPY I DID!! This is wonderful!! The entire family enjoyed it. We will have this over & over- Thanks!!
Perfect recipe for a great tasting milkshake. My DS and GS love creamsicle ice cream and this just fits the bill and is a lot healthier using the orange juice! I was honored by making this in memory of your beloved husband. Love ya friend! :)
Top notch recipe for a yummy treat. Brings back memories of playing outside all day in the summer with friends and eating a creamsicle at the park. Thanks for the memories! Made for Lazyme Cook-a-thon in memory of her DH.
