- 3 lbs turnips
- 1⁄4 cup butter
- 1⁄4 cup flour
- 1 1⁄2 cups light cream
- 1 cup Velveeta cheese
- 1 tablespoon chives
- Cook turnips until just barely tender-not soft but a little firm.
- Melt butter and mix in flour.
- Add 1/2 and 1/2 cream add shredded cheese.
- Mix into turnips.
- Top with chives.
