I made this last night for dinner, followed the directions exactly & the mixture never did get thick like a gravy should. I did like the nutmeg flavor.
A great use for leftover chicken! I substitued sage for the nutmeg(personal preference). Also thought 1 tsp salt was a little much, next time will decrease. This is a keeper.
I know this must be good. It reminds me of my mom cooking SOS with cornbread.
