light basic sauce you can use for green beans, casseroles, and on noodles
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 1⁄2 cup parmesan cheese, cheesed
- 1 dash pepper
- 1 teaspoon minced onion, season
- Melt butter, med low heat, add flour and lower heat . Whisk for about a minute until flour is incorporated. Don't let flour brown. Add cream and milk and continue stirring until sauce is smonth and thick.
- Season to taste after adding the milk in while its thickening I add 1/2 cup of parmesan cheese, dash of pepper, and 1 teaspoon of minced onion season.
