Cream of White Wine Sauce

This is a great sauce to serve over light-tasting fish such as tilapia, mahi-mahi, flounder, (fresh) catfish, etc.

Ingredients Nutrition


  1. In a saucepan, melt margarine over medium-high heat.
  2. Reduce heat to medium-low and add flour, slowly blending continuously until it gels.
  3. Add milk and continue to blend (do not let the mixture boil).
  4. Add sour cream and bring to a simmer.
  5. Remove from heat and add wine.
  6. Return to the heat and simmer to desired thickness.
