- 1⁄4 cup margarine
- 1 pint sour cream
- 4 tablespoons flour
- 8 ounces dry white wine (such as Sauvignon Blanc)
- 1⁄2 cup milk
directions
- In a saucepan, melt margarine over medium-high heat.
- Reduce heat to medium-low and add flour, slowly blending continuously until it gels.
- Add milk and continue to blend (do not let the mixture boil).
- Add sour cream and bring to a simmer.
- Remove from heat and add wine.
- Return to the heat and simmer to desired thickness.
