Cream Cheese Swirl Brownies

This is one of the Zaar recipes that I adopted. I hope to make this soon as it looks like a dish my family would enjoy. I’ll edit the recipe accordingly if needed.

  1. Combine chocolate and 3 tablespoons butter in top of double boiler; bring water to a boil.
  2. Reduce heat to low; cook until chocolate melts.
  3. Set aside to cool.
  4. Combine 2 tablespoons butter and cream cheese, creaming until light and fluffy.
  5. Stir in 1 egg, 1 tablespoon flour, and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla.
  6. Set aside.
  7. Beat 2 eggs at medium speed of an electric mixer until thick and lemon colored.
  8. Gradually add 3/4 cup sugar, beating well.
  9. Combine 1/2 cup flour, baking powder, and salt; add to egg mixture, mixing well.
  10. Stir in cooled chocolate, flavorings, and pecans.
  11. Pour half of chocolate batter into a greased 8 inch square pan.
  12. Spread with cheese mixture; top with remaining chocolate batter.
  13. Cut through mixture in pan with a knife to create a marbled effect.
  14. Bake at 350F for 35 to 40 minutes.
  15. Cool on wire rack; cut into squares.

I made these exactly as stated for my son's fiance who loves chocolate and cream cheese lol! these are extremely rich and not too over-chocolaty just right! thanks for a great recipe Dreamgoddess...Kitten:)

These were very rich and enjoyable! If you like chocolate, you'll love these tasty, chewy brownies! I omitted the nuts because my family doesn't do nuts too well, but other than that left everything the same. Delicious!
