  1. This really has promise. I think it might have been better to have steamed the broccoli and then lightly chopped it before adding to the crust. I used two 6 oz cans of salmon and dried dill weed for the fresh. About 30 minutes into the cooking process, I bumped the cook temperature up to 425 degrees and it still required an additional 5 minutes to finish cooking. Good luck in the contest.

  2. I wondered if I should have steamed the broccoli first? But it was fine. I found using a 7 ounce can of salmon to be enough. It would have been too much fish using the full amount. Also I cut back on the cheese to 1/2 cup. The egg mixture was creamy. I would have like a gooier cheese like mozzarella added to it. Healthy? Somewhat! But tasty! It would be a five star recipe for us made as I did.

  3. My husband gave this recipe 2 thumbs up. I used 2 fresh roasted salmon fillets, as I needed to use them. Since the flavor of the fresh salmon in this dish was so good, I would be hesitant to try it with canned. Only my opinion of course. For the pastry crust I used Recipe #66929. Made for Craze-E #3 contest. :)

I moved out here many, many years ago from Ottawa, Canada - so I am blessed in having two wonderful heritages! I suffer from compulsive obsessive behaviour with regard to food and my psychiatrist thought it would be a good idea to find a 'society' where many have the same problem and try to find a cure. So far, I've copied a couple of thousand recipes from this site and my psychiatrist has thrown the towel in and refuses to answer the phone when I call. What did I do wrong? Got 3 kids that keep me on the go - 10 and under at this point (2008) - I may not get round to updating this for a few years, so you'll have to do your own maths. I teach English full-time and Greek Cookery part-time. I would like to make the cooking part of it full-time and the English Grammar part of it part-time. That's all for now.
