This is a wonderful recipe, but we use dried cranberries instead of raisins. It gives it a much better flavor, and compliments the fresh berries.

I read this to my girls when they were little, and we decided to make this bread. We love this and always give it as gifts at Christmas! People just love the flavors that you can taste in it. Thank you for posting it. I am planning on making some today! Yum! Yum! Hate to give it away~~
I make this every year, but pour it in a greased 13X9 pan instead. It bakes in about 30 minutes.
