A delightful diabetic recipe that tastes so good that everyone enjoys it
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1 cup Splenda granular
- 1⁄2 cup water
- 3 cups cranberries
- 1 medium orange, chopped
- Combine the cornstarch, Splenda and water in a small saucepan; stir to mix and add the fruit.
- Bring to the boil and simmer for about 10-15 minutes, stirring often.
- This looks too watery to begin with, but will suddenly start to change into like a syrup. Keep stirring until it reaches the consistency you like.
- Cool and then refrigerate for a few hours before serving.
Perfect cranberry sauce and very easy! I did use regular sugar instead of Splenda w/great results. The chopped orange added something extra special... very easy and so delicious! Even those who claimed to not like cranberry sauce, loved this. I also set it aside on the counter top and didn't refrigerate until after the meal. Thanks for sharing!
