  1. In a saucepan, add sugar to water, boil, and stir until sugar is dissolved.
  2. Add berries.
  3. Simmer until berries split.
  4. Add zest.
  5. Stir slightly.
  6. Remove from heat, let thicken a few minutes, then refrigerate.
