A family tradition! Originally appeared in Better Homes & Gardens in April of 1962. For flavor variations substitute dried cranberries or apricots in place of raisins.

  1. Mix sugar, cornstarch, cloves, and salt together in saucepan.
  2. Add remaining ingredients and heat over medium heat, stirring as necessary.
  3. Cook until mixture thickens and comes to boiling. Serve with ham.
