Thick cranberry sauce with orange
- 2 (8 ounce) packages fresh cranberries or 2 (8 ounce) packages frozen cranberries
- 1 orange, zest of, cut into strips
- 1⁄2 cup sugar
- 1 cinnamon stick
- Put all ingredients into a saucepan over medium heat and simmer until the cranberries burst and hte sauce thickens, about 15 to 20 minutes.
- Cool and refrigerate.
- Remove the cinnamon stick before serving.
