This was a winner at my house. Was easy to prepare and was great table fare. As to internetnut, you do not follow recipe imitation honey, chili sauce and splenda and then you give it three stars?
This was good and very easy to prepare. I enjoyed the orange accents in the flavor of the sauce. Thanks for sharing.
This is delicious and soooooo easy.
I gave this recipe 3 stars. This recipe had mixed reviews in my house. My 6 yr old newphew really liked this chicken. My future hubby thought the chicken was good. I wasn't very crazy over the flavor of the sauce. While I thought this sounded so good I just wasn't crazy over it. I had some Orange Spray whole berry cranberry sauce to use up so I searched recipes using it and came across this recipe and was pleased to have everything on hand. When I made this chicken I used imitation honey, chili sauce, and Splenda brown sugar. I did use chicken thighs instead of breast which were still slightly frozen so I cooked my chicken for 10 hours to make sure it was completely cooked. I decided to serve the chicken without the rice. Just as the recipe states the chicken does fall right off the bone which I did like. I removed the chicken before adding the cornstarch/water mix. I then served the sauce over the chicken. Over all I don't think I'll make this recipe again. Thanks for posting! Christine (internetnut)
This was good. I am not a fan of cinnamon so I decreased the cinnamon. Next time I will add the original amount. I also used 3 frozen chicken breasts and threw them in the crock pot. One hour high and 3 hours low.
This received mixed reviews. Out of nine people, two didn't like it. Four people really liked it a lot. And three thought it was fine. I made it according to directions. The chicken was tender and juicy. The sauce thickened up well, and I served it over rice with steamed broccoli on the side. It's a nice combination of orange, cinnamon, and cranberry.
I made this today because I just so happened to have all the ingredients. The only thing I did different was to use boneless breasts and thus cooked it on low only for about 4 hours. (I did do the towel on top too...never tried such a thing but, why not?) It was delicious. I'm not sure if it was the sauce or the cooking method but the chicken was tender and even though I was worried it would be too sweet, it wasn't. Thanks for a lovely new way to make chicken.
