I maked this bread to give as gifts for Christmas for many years. It is a tradition in my family, becasue the bread is the best cranberry bread ever made.

I made a loaf of this and my nephews who say "eeewww cranberries" loved this! I will definately be making more for the holidays.

I followed the directions as written and it just did not turn out as I had expected. It was also very heavy, too heavy.

pretty good bread. i only had 1/2 cup of cranberries so i sliced up some apples and added those to the mix with 1/2 tsp of vanilla. also omitted the walnuts and used 1/2 cup less sugar, and things turned out well. marinating the cranberries in the sugar overnite was a great idea since it made them taste more sweet than tart when you bit into one.

This is a great basic recipe for delicious cranberry bread. To add a bit of sweetness and color to the bread, boil some dried apricots until plump and dice them up. Add them to the mix with the cranberries and walnuts. This is how I make my cranberry bread and EVERYONE loves it. Just make sure you have room in your tummy because you'll want more than one big piece!!

Wow, I loved this recipe. Nobody in my household likes cranberries but it was hard to get a piece away from them with this recipe. Thanks!

I doubled and doctored this recipe with great results. I used 3cups of cranberries 3 over ripe mashed bananas and instead of 2 cups of milk I used 1 cup of milk and 1 cup of apricot brandy it was fantastic.
