      Really easy and tasty crisp! I did one thing differently... I used fresh cranberries and cooked them down with a little sugar first and then added the apples. I left out the nuts in the topping because I was out, but this was still delicious!!! Great served with some vanilla bean ice cream!!! Thanks for sharing with us Amy and may you be at peace...

      I understand from reading some of the reviews from some of Redneck Epicurean's other recipes that she has passed away. I didn't know her at all but I feel for her family and what they are going through right now. I still wanted to go ahead and post - just so that others know how great this recipe is!!! I am putting this one in the "yummy file". So easy to make. It smells fantastic while it is baking! The only thing I did different was to double the pecans - I love, love, love pecans. UPDATE: I made this again, this time I used a Lite Cherry Pie filling. It was delicious! Not quite as sweet since there is not as much sugar in the cherries as there is in the cranberry sauce.

      I served this "DELIGHTFUL" apple crisp to the staff where I work and I got nothing but praise all day long for it... People were even talking about it the next day. Great recipe. Make sure you use the "whole-berry" cranberry sauce.
