Directions:

cream butter and sugar add eggs.

add vanilla bean

add flour and ground almonds

quickly knead pastry dough

divide dough in 5 parts

roll out

bake 4 or 5 thin round layers in a baking pan in turns

the layers should not be browned to much

but should be slightly golden

im guessin 375 for 10 minutes

add sugar to egg whites cream until fluffy.

add sieved jam fold in

icing beat together everything but almonds

spread filling thinly betweeen layers

cover with icing

decorate with rosettes made from almond halves

best made 4 days in advance , so it matures and becomes crubly as hapiness.
