this is the recipe I use for my cracker Jack popcorn...I use this also now to fix any microwave corn that I haven't really enjoyed...(like cinnabon and kettle corn,,) fixed it fine..Thought I had better post my recipe before after using for 20 years, I just might loose it, since the page is falling out of my book...

Not exactly Cracker Jack -- but very tasty. I also found that it was difficult to get the coating even and the peanuts (I used about a cup of unsalted Spanish peanuts) fell to the bottom. But, DH and I agree that it is very good and would probably make again.
- 1 1⁄4 cups white sugar
- 1⁄3 cup water
- 1 2⁄3 tablespoons white vinegar
- 1⁄3 cup butter
- 2 1⁄2 quarts popped corn
