Made this for dinner a few nights ago. Very rich, very delicious! DH and I ate it all in one sitting, despite serving 4, it was that good. I'd definitely make this again. Thanks!

I made this exactly as written, as well as making small changes to please my family's tastes. I use imitation crab, leave out the breadcrumbs and replaced them with a finely shredded cheese (monterey jack for me), and definitely some Old Bay to kick it up a notch. I have made this recipe four times now, twice with the shrimp and twice with scallops replacing the shrimp cause I didn't have any. My DS LOVES this dish with the scallops, and my fiancee' loves it with the shrimp! I love it either way! Very delicious, and it makes you feel like you are eating above your budget, but your not.

Delicious. A bit of Old Bay can be added with no loss.

I made this tonight to take to my mom's house.Everyone loved it...I guess so at $26 for 2 cans of crab! Though it was rather expensive to make I'm glad that I did. I left out the celery and green peppers...just didn't want them. I think that this will be a special occasion dish. Thanks for sharing!

Great dish! I topped it with some shredded Swiss cheese and baked it an additional 5 minutes. Also, I used medium shrimp but didn't butterfly them. Worked great! Definitely a keeper!

Great dish. Very, very rich. Substitutions I made: 1 lb. small shrimp; 1 c. water with 3/4 c. dry skim milk; imitation crab meat. I also first put 2 c. cooked white rice on the bottom of the pan rather than serving on the side. This turned out to be a good idea anyway as I realized too late that I was out of eggs, so I simply increased the breadcrumbs to 3/4 c. and prayed the rice would soak up any excess liquid. It was wonderful, great flavor, and I will certainly make it again. Although the celery was a bit excessive; I will reduce to 1/2 c. next time. Also, by adding the rice, I feel this makes more like 6-8 servings.

Fantastic recipe, great enough to show off for company dinner to impress. Followed recipe exactly except being a very frugal cook, I used that packaged fake crabmeat and the dish still turned out excellent. Ok next time I will release the purse strings and get real crabmeat. Yes, there will definitely be a next time making this dish. Thanks Martha for a really good one.
