Delicious start to the day! I love the creaminess this has from cooking the couscous in milk. I used almond extract, toasted almond slices and dried cherries, with honey as a sweetener. Very easy recipe. I love the cardamom flavor. Made for Ramadan 2009 Tag.

This is a wonderful recipe. I make multiples of the recipe, dividing all of the dry ingredients into plastic food containers. The wet ingredients go into the smallest size food containers and are put into the fridge to be ready to grab on the way out to work. I love both dates and figs in this, but have discovered that dried, chopped apples are also really good. Have only used roasted almonds and almond extract. I also have played with other spices such as cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, etc., but cardamom remains my favorite. Thanks for such an easy, but delicious recipe, Cookgirl.
