I have made these as rolls before and loved them; this time, I used only the dough cycle on my bread machine, let the loaf rise another thirty or so minutes in a warm oven, then baked it at 350* for about 25 minutes. This loaf rose very nicely, browned perfectly on top and sides, and has a light texture that cuts very well without crumbling too much. Thank you!

If you don't have a bread machine, or just prefer to bake it in the oven, it takes about 30 minutes or until the inside reaches 180 degrees. To make breadsticks (like Olive Garden's) pinch off a bit of the dough and roll out to cigar shapes, let rise, and bake for 10 minutes or till golden. Spray the tops with Pam (or olive oil in a spray bottle) and sprinkle with garlic salt. Mmmmmm! I made 4 breadsticks from this recipe for our lunch and still had a nice big loaf. This is the perfect bread recipe! If you prefer less sweet bread you can halve the sugar and it's still wonderful bread. Can't go wrong with this one!

I tried this bread today and it came out perfect. Very light and fluffy, not like the other bread machine recipes I have used which always came out thick and heavy. Will definitely keep this recipe in my holster to impress everyone. Next time I might try to add a little soy sauce and jalapeno minus the salt. I'll let you know.

I liked the first one I tried but then my 4 yr old said, "Mama why did you make playdoh for dinner?" It was much too yeasty tasting and sticky for us.

So delicious!!! I made the rolls just as written and they turned out great-- even better than great!!!! Light and fluffy the way a roll should be. I have made these about 6 times now and they are so fast and easy. Everyone in the family loved them.

Very good and easy recipe. I made the rolls with half the amount of sugar, next time I will use only 3 tbls. Alittle too sweet, but good. I sprinkled parmesan cheese. Thank-you.

This bread turned out great with a nice texture and delicious flavor. I made it exactly as written. It went great with a pot of beef stew. I know I'll make it again and again.

This is an incredible recipe. My family raves about it. My father was incharge of making rolls for various dinners. Now I get to do it. Warm out of the oven with melted butter is to die for!

Perfect rolls! Soft on the inside and slightly crispy and chewy on the outside. Perfectly sweeten. Great recipe. I made this by hand and had to add about 1/2 cup extra of flour and baked it at 350 for 20 minutes but they came out excellent. Thank you for the recipe.

This was the first recipe I tried in my bread machine, I have a Sunbeam and the proportions were just right, for the dough. I think I'll add just a little more salt for taste wise. I made the rolls and they were just perfect, rose for an hour after I took the dough out of the machine and baked up golden brown, light and airy inside!

OMGoodness - does this really need another review? Made this for the first time last night. Great dinner rolls and I had never done rolls before. So easy! A little too sweet for bread, but will cut sugar when I make bread next time. Used regular bread flour but plan to use white wheat next time. Thanks so much DDW!

The Best!!!! If I could give this recipe more stars I would. They rose beautifully. When I turned them out, we all tested one. The whole family loved them. It's now our favorite bread recipe. The texture was perfectly light and airy. I think the dough would make great cinnamon rolls or monkey bread. Thanks DDW for this keeper recipe.
