- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1⁄3 cup granulated sugar
- 1⁄3 cup raisins
- 1⁄4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2⁄3 cup quick cooking or regular rolled oats
- 3 tablespoons melted butter
- 3⁄4 cup brown sugar
- Put apples in a mixing bowl; toss with the flour and granulated sugar. Stir in raisins, cinnamon, and oats. Pour 1 cup water into crockery. Add apple mixture. Pour melted butter over apples and then sprinkle with brown sugar. Cover and cook on LOW 4 to 6 hours.
Great recipe! I put in a mix of Golden Delicious and Cortland Apples. I think the Cortland Apples have better consistency in the final product, but try out your favorite apple and see for yourself!
I was looking for an easy fruit dessert/side dish & found this recipe. I used 6 big Gala apples, 1/3c brown sugar (instead of granulated white sugar), 1/2t of apple pie spice (instead of 1/4t cinnamon), and I topped w/1T brown sugar and 1T white sugar (rather than 3/4c brown sugar) and this turned out SO GOOD! YUMMY on its own, probably delicious as a pie fillling or biscuit topping....THANKS FOR SHARING!!
just gotdone making these, & they are so good. i did add more cinnamon, nutmeg, & ginger though. thanks for sharing.
