My mom gave me this glaze recipe
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped onions
- 2 teaspoons shredded gingerroot or 1⁄2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1⁄2 cup apricot jam
- 1⁄4 cup yellow mustard
- Cook onion and ginger in butter until soft; add remaining ingredients, stirring to blend.
- Heat to boil.
- Spoon over ham or chicken.
Those who enjoy the snappy flavorful taste of ginger as we do, will love this ham glaze. Made a small ham and served the remaining glaze with the meal.
