Cottage Cheese Jello

"As our family expands each year with marriages, etc...we try to incorporate favorite dishes of the new in-laws to our holiday celebrations, so that they feel a part of our event and not an outsider. This is a recipe my sister-in-law's grandmother always made and I am happy to add it to our collection."

  1. I make this with strawberry jello and I also add some sliced bananas. I'm actually making it today to take to a church function tomorrow!

  2. We've been using this recipe in my family for years, except we use lime jello. I tried it your way this time, and it's equally good with orange jello powder, too! I know it sounds weird, but really, everyone should try it at least once!

  3. I also have been making this for many years using a cherry jello. Haven't thought about making it for a long time, glad this spark me again. We love this, it is very light, and also great for a shower, when my boys were real small they would ask for it by saying they wanted some of the pink fluff! Great way to get them to eat cottage cheese! Thanx for posting.

  4. This has been at our family's thanksgiving since I can remember. It is as much tradition as the turkey and dressing. My aunt always makes it with lime jello. One year she made it with a red jello (which is also very good) and lets just say she never did it again! lol! This is a light wonderful recipe. Thanks for sharing.

  5. This is one of my families favorites! I usually decorate the top with mandarin oranges.
