I didn't really think these tasted much like Costco muffins...they were a little more cupcake-y than costco's are...I might try them with a touch more oil to try to get closer. BUT I am definitely going to keep this recipe around for the fact that it's EASY and VERSATILE!

My kids really liked these. I added 2 tsp. of vanilla and milk chocolate chips to the batter. Everyone said they tasted more like a cupcake than a muffin. Thanks for an easy recipe.

The muffins came out good, but they didn't taste anything like Costco muffins to me. I used a Duncan Heinz Spice Cake mix, and cut up an apple to put in the batter, to simulate Costco's apple-cinnamon muffins. Not even close. Definitely not the best cupcake I've made either, but not bad. I think without the apples, it would have been really dry.

What a great recipe!!!!!! I did the chocolate muffins and everyone in my house loved them. I made then into the big muffins so I got 10 large muffins with this recipe. I now want to make some other combos with this recipe. Thanks for posting such an easy and tasty recipe :) I just made some Lemon Blueberry with this recipe and they were the best muffins ever.

These muffins were soooo good. I used a chocolate cake mix and added a big handfull of chocolate chips. My kids couldn't get enough of them. They also freeze very well. This one's a keeper.

I made these using a yellow cake mix and added in semi sweet chocolate chips. These were easy to make and very delicious! I'll definitely be making them again. Thanks for posting!

These were absolute delicious and a spot-on copy to the muffins they have at Sam's Club! I used a combo of butterscotch chips and mini chocolate chips with a box of chocolate cake mix and they were fantastic. Thanks so much for sharing!

These were okay. I made the almond poppyseed muffins. I have never had Costco Muffins so I can't compare, but I thought they were a bit dry...they didn't have the moist consistency I expected using a cake mix. They definately took on the cupcake flavor...which to my family made them not the greatest muffin, but also not the greatest cupcake either. (My DH insisted that I frost them after eating two...and that didn't end up being an improvement.) Ha-ha!

Very good muffins and very much like Costco's product! I added blueberries to a Duncan Hines lemon cake mix and topped with the streusel mix from Old Fashioned Banana Muffins by Gerry999. Using the muffin tins available to me, I made 12 regular & 6 large muffins. Thanx for posting!

I made 3 batches for a bake sale at work today. I used a butter recipe mix with chocolate chips, a lemon mix with poppy seeds, and a spice mix with raisins. Yummy and easy. Another review stated these muffins freeze well, so I will be adding this to my OAMC cookbook as well. Thanks for posting a great recipe!
