Corney cookies are so called because they contain cornmeal. My kids absolutely gobbled these up, they never lasted long.

Directions

  1. Cream butter, beat in egg, sugar, vanilla, mix in flour cornmeal and baking powder and stir in raisins, drop in by teaspoon fulls on lightly greased baking sheet.
  2. Bake at 350°F for 15 minutes cool slightly before removing from baking sheet.

I love cornmeal and these were good. I used the raisins but think walnuts or almonds would be better. I'll use the nuts next time but this really is a super recipe. Thanks anglefan.
