I have made this before many times. It is so good. I also sprinkle hot pepper flakes on top of cornbread before baking. I served this for a wedding shower with grilled chiken/greens salad with chipole salad dressing. Delish.

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Brush cast iron skillet with vegetable oil and place in oven for about 10 minutes.
  3. Mix all ingredients in bowl.
  4. Take skillet out of oven and pour the cornmeal batter in skillet.
  5. Bake for about 35 minutes.
