I like my corn, so used 2 cups of it in this recipe, along with the two sugar options! ABSOLUTELY GREAT TASTING FRITTERS! In my estimation there's no way they could be any better! Thanks for sharing the recipe ~ It's a definite keeper! [Tagged, made & reviewed in the I Recommend cooking game]
My grandmother used to make these when I was young and I had a craving for them (and I didn't have her recipe with me), so I found this one. They were very easy to make and tasted good. I only gave this four stars because I thought they were a little on the dry side. Since I already had an expectation from what my grandmother used to make, I couldn't rate these five stars because I am used to her version. I did sprinkle the powdered sugar on them and added syrup (I know, not too healthy) but it was so good that way! I suggest you should try it. Thanks bumblebee5!
Great recipe...might try making clam fritters with this recipe. It's a keeper!
I really expected to be "wowed" by this recipe, as I love corn, and I love hushpuppies, which sounded like a combination of this recipe. These turned out to be more like a beignet without the sweetness. But I did like it and it turned out very nice and golden brown....just didn't expect to really have to add the sugar and maple syrup to be able to enjoy it well!
Yummy - simple and tasty! Thanks for posting! Made for the Cookbook Tag Game.
Delicious and absolutely divine thanks for a fab recipe and a good excuse to get my deep fat fryer out..
Hi Montana, I made these corn fritters for Saturday brunch, and what a hit they were! They were eaten up in no time, I ended up by making a second batch of them (corn is my son's favorite veggie), this recipe brought back so many wonderful memories of when my mother used to make these for us when we were growing up...This is a wonderful recipe, and I recommend it highly...thanks for posting, we enjoyed them very much...KC
