This is corn free, gluten free baking powder. The recipe is 1 part baking soda, 2 parts cream of tartar and 2 parts arrowroot powder. Make any amount you need.
- Place all ingredients in a bowl or jar.
- Mix well.
- Store in a cool dry place.
Wonderful! Will probably never buy commercial baking powder again.
Just saw your thread in the Gluten free forum and checked this recipe - sometimes one can be so thick :D I'm working with baking soda and cream of tartar or ascorbic acid for months because I can't have cornstarch, but it never occured to me to use arrowroot to mix in and have proper baking powder!! Thanks for sharing this idea!!
