I made this as a dip, (omitting the water) and for personal reasons just a small pinch of salt. It was delicious and so easy to prepare. Avocados are so delicate I just mashed with a fork and added the remaining ingredients, no processor or blender needed. Wonderful dip for veggies, crackers/chips and I even think chicken strips would be good dipped in it.

I love this dip/dressing. My kids love it as a dip and eat it with tortilla chips. It is versatile and I sometimes use basil instead of cilantro or both and sometimes I add extra water at the end so that it is a true dressing,(only at the end though or it will get lumpy). Thanks for this great recipe!

This was very tasty. I always like when restaurants have avocado ranch dressing and this recipe reminded me of that. And to make it more like my restaurant experiences, I added some Tastefully Simple Fiesta Party Mix and it came in at a close second! Definitely will make this on a regular basis!!! Thanks for sharing it:)

I'm a psychotherapist who decided to start cooking creatively after years of resistance. I cook primarily vegetarian but cook with other ingredients when my family complains too much. I'm the mother of 3 sons, two of whom are grown, and I've been married since 1978. I cringe when I think back on the cooking my poor husband valliantly endured when we were first married. I collect cookbooks and frequent the thrift shops in my area for unusual finds.
