Coquito is a Puerto Rican version of Egg Nog. It is to die for. I experienced this for the first time last year and I can not get enough. My friend gave me the recipe and she makes it only at christmas, she fills wine bottles with it and then makes them look pretty and gives them as gifts. One taste and you will want more and more.
- 2 can coconut cream
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 can evaporated milk
- 4.92 ml vanilla extract
- 236.59-473.18 ml rum
- 14.79 ml ground cinnamon
- 14.79 ml ground nutmeg
- Blend all ingredients in a blender on high for 5 minutes.
- Serve cold, sip and enjoy.
Boy is this ever good. Quick easy and very moreish. Love the addition of the spices and the coconut flavour makes a nice change from an egg based mix. I used bacardi. Thanks for sharing.
!Delicioso! Anyone who says Coquito isn't Coquito without eggs, is wrong. It's easy to make and definitely worth the wait to chill. I left out the nutmeg and still found it to be delicious. It's quite thick, therefore, I'm considering replacing one can of coconut cream with coconut milk. I highly recommend using Coco Lope because it has more of a coconut taste. It's also best to use Bacardi White rum. Cheers. !Gracias!
