Not sure where I found this recipe now, just know it is a fave in our house.

Directions

  1. Melt margarine in frying pan.
  2. Dip chicken in flour.
  3. Brown both sides of chicken in margarine.
  4. Transfer chicken to ungreased 1 1/2 quart casserole dish.
  5. Add onion to pan; saute till browned.
  6. Add next 7 ingredients to onion; stir; cover.
  7. Cook slowly for 5 minutes.
  8. Discard bay leaf.
  9. Stir in wine.
  10. Pour over chicken; cover.
  11. Bake in 350F over for 1 to 1 1/2 hours until tender.
  12. (Prep time include stove top cooking).
