This bread is very good; soft, moist. However, putting the cinnamon chips in before the 10 minute kneeding was a bit of a disaster...my bread looks more like pumpkin bread then cinnamon burst. I did hand knead some additional chips in before I put the dough in the pans and those were great. Next time I will not add the chips until the bread has proofed the first time. (I used honey and butter instead of sugar and oil as suggested by another post; thank you!)
This is fantastic bread! And so easy!! Our family devoured both loaves in no time at all. Very addicting and satisfying!
Although I have not tried this recipe, I know they used honey instead of sugar, butter instead of oil, and no use of eggs.

This is a very nice bread. I halved the recipe and got two good-sized loaves. I used some of the bread for french toast. Yum! By the way, I ordered my cinnamon chips from Amazon as I could not find any locally. Thanks for the great recipe.
I sure wish i had read banyans review before I made this bread..... mine too looks like a pumpkin bread and I hope it raises with all of the sugar in it now :( BE SURE TO ADD THE CINNAMON CHIPS AT LAST PROOF BEFORE SHAPING INTO LOAVES. I used coconut oil and I wish I hadn't added the sugar with the chips breaking down. will see what happens.
