Very good. I used this recipe to decorate heart shaped Rice Krispie treats for Valentines day. Used as much milk as I needed for the right consistency. : )

This frosting is delicious! I did have to add quite a bit more milk than what the recipe called for. I added a little at a time until I had the right consistency. We used it for cut out sugar cookies for my sons Christmas party. I will definitely use this one again.

This frosting was delicious...but I had problems getting it to the consistency that I wanted. I added a little merengue powder to get some firmness.

This recipe is a sure fire way to get a great frosting for much cheaper than store bought frosting. Just make sure to add additional milk/sugar/butter as you mix if the consistency is not right. Do not add additional vanilla or it'll be too strong.

My husband tasted this and told me to, "keep this one!" I didn't have unsalted butter and didn't notice anything odd or too salty by using salted. I tripled the recipe to have enough frosting to frost six dozen 2 1/2" cut-out cookies. I had about 1/2 cup of frosting left over which I froze for later use. I also doubled the vanilla and used half and half for the milk. I will be trying more SilentCricket recipes in her memory!!

This recipe got me started, this was my first attempt at cookie icing! I ended up using 6Tbsp butter to 2 cups of sugar, and more like 1-1.5 T of milk. I guess I prefer a little creamier, less sweet frosting. Consistency came out perfect on my sugar cookies (came out just like Lofthouse!). Thanks for the easy recipe!
