Yum - just like I used to make. Quick and easy. I did cut the recipe in half and was enough for a 11x13 pan of bars, unless you are like my dad. He liked a little cake with his frosting. Be careful not to let the frosting cool too much, or it gets too thick to spread - just saying since that's what I did. Thanks Okitsme for posting this recipe.

Just like I remember my mom making! I added a pinch of salt, boiled the mixture about 4 minutes, and skipped the ice water bath. I wanted the hot frosting to soak into my Orange Cake 13 X 9 poked full of holes! Made for Spring PAC 2014.

An easy and delicious frosting! Besides being easy to make, pouring this on was much easier than applying traditional frostings, such as buttercream, and no need for a crumb coat. Highly recommended!
