Confetti Spaghetti

"I love this recipe for potlucks or to make ahead for that trip to the cottage. It has a wonderful blend of flavors. The recipe came from Taste Of home. A real winner"

  1. After reading Stardustbunnies review and her photo, I thought that I would give this a try for the grandkids. It worked out very nice they all enjoyed it and even though I only like Italian pasta, I did enjoy my supper also with a tossed salad and some garlic bread. I will make this one again soon.

  2. I thought this was nice. I cut it in half and had 4 servings (not 6). I thought it was a *little* dry - I might use a full 8 oz tomato sauce for a half recipe next time and up the spices a bit but otherwise wouldn't change anything. I used yellow and red bell pepper as I dislike green pepper. I used an 8x8 pan for half recipe and used 2 oz (1/2 cup) cheese - could have used more for my taste but that was all I had. Will make again with minor changes. Thanks for sharing!

  3. This was a pretty good recipe; my kids certainly liked it. I subbed sausage for the hamburger but thought the meat-to-other things ratio was a bit too high; I think I'd prefer 1/2 lb. meat or less. I made my sauce in a cast iron skillet then just baked it in the same pan to save on dishes. I did love the addition of the peppers to the dish (I used red peppers).

  4. My family has been enjoying this for several years now, first found this recipe in Taste of Home magazine. We like more sauce, so I add 28 oz of tomato sauce and double the spices. I also usually use 2 pounds of ground beef and a full pound of spaghetti. Delicious meal that feeds a crowd!

  5. A great family meal, so simple yet oh so tasty!! I had to sub the green pepper for red and I added a good heaped teaspoon of Italian Herb Blend but otherwise made as directed, the flavours were great! I can see my family will be enjoying it often as it can be made ahead of time and popped in the oven when we get home from work. Thanks for sharing :)

I have just recently retired. I worked in the banking industry for 25 yrs. My husband and I own a cottage and have spent most of this last summer at the lake. We go there in the winter as well. I love to cook and I collect recipes. <img src="http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c105/jewelies/Pohutukawa-2-1.jpg"> <img src="http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c105/jewelies/pick0GuXD-1.jpg"> <img src="http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c105/jewelies/picNW72Oj-1.jpg"> <img src="http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c105/jewelies/picx2XGjA-1.jpg"> <img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3316/3345270671_dd30334798.jpg"> <img src="http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c105/jewelies/picx2XGjA-1.jpg">
