We love this meal! My boyfriend grew up eating this and suggested it one night after. This is his "go-to" meal on nights he cooks, and I love it too! Leftovers are great! A perfect meal to come home to when you're tired.

I love skillet dinners, however, to me this just didn't cut it. I thought it was ok, hubby said please don't make that again.

My kids really liked this recipe. I made some changes though, as I didn't have all the ingredients listed. I used 1 can cream of mushroom soup and frozen mixed veggies instead of just peas. I also sauteed the kielbasa with some onion and red chilli powder. I suggest adding more water as it does seem that the rice takes a bit long to cook. The cheese on top perfected the dish. My kids argued over who would get the last bit.

My very picky husband liked it enough to add it to our "list of regulars", although I didn't add peas, and did add chopped onions, bell peppers, and celery, which I sauted with the kielbasa prior to adding everything else.

My family loved this easy, comfort food. In fact my husband requested me to make another pan of it the next day!

I just love these one pan meals, and this was so good! Quick and easy, and the combo of mushrooms and peas and cheese, yummy! We used venison kielbasa that my DH made! I too, had to add additional water to it. Just keep an eye on it while it's cooking to see if you will need to too. Thanks for posting!

This was a tasty dish. I did have to add almost an additional c. of water to prevent it from drying out and had to cook it for almost 10 additional minutes for the rice to cook completely. My picky eaters liked it and said it was "A do again" meal.

So simple, easy & tasty. I followed the recipe except I did saute the sausage with onion and cayenne pepper (as suggested by newspapergirl.) I used a low simmer and mine didn't dry out, very moist. I will add this recipe to my hectic day collection. Thanks NurseDi!

This is an easy, good weeknight meal. I used double mushrooms, as I didn't realize I was out of peas, & brown rice, turkey kielbasa. I cooked as directed, except I sauteed the kielbasa in a bit of onion & cayenne pepper before adding it to the rice mixture. Really tasty! Thank you

Very tasty and easy one dish meal! When I added the peas and mushrooms, I added an extra 1/2 cup water because it seemed to me the rice might dry out before it was finished. My range is electric and old and sometimes hard to regulate, so I probably had it simmering a bit too high. I also added about 1/4 tsp. of red pepper flakes. My dh and son loved it and both went back for seconds. Thanks again, Di! Your recipes are always winners at my house!
