Excellent dressing! I made it with celery salt instead of the celery seeds and salt, and used red wine vinegar because that was all I had. This will be replacing my regular coleslaw recipe, as it is much easier, uses less ingredients, and tastes better! Thanks for the great recipe!

Loved this recipe!! Easy, simple and yummy in the bargin. Adjust to your own taste buds and you have a winner. The addition of rice vinegar really makes it. Have used it many times and passed it on

Easy and delicious. I like more celery seeds and salt. Otherwise, made it exactly to directions. Will make again and again. Thanks for sharing it.

Good basic dressing, I followed the recipe but cut in half for a 1/2 small head of cabbage, but I used Slpenda for the sugar. I didn't add anything like carrots, pineapple, apple, grapes, cranberries, etc to the shredded cabbage, but any addition would be good with this dressing. I liked that it was neither too vinegary nor too sweet for my taste.

This is good, I will use cider vinegar the next time. After the success I have had with your chili sauce recipe, and lentil sausage soup recipe I knew I couldn't go wrong-only needed a little more "zip" for my husband! Thanks, Carole in Orlando

Excellent slaw dressing, I added 1 heaping teaspoon of horseradish to give it a little bit more zip. I loved the addition of rice wine vinegar.

Great recipe ... I had forgotten to buy coleslaw dressing so I googled a home recipe and found this one - I won't ever be buying one again now! I didn't have any rice vinegar, so I substituted white vinegar with a bit of water, and I only used half the salt. It tasted terrific; definitely a keeper!

Delicious classic coleslaw! This dressing came together in a snap. I love that its made with ingredients that I always have on hand. I added dried minced onion and more celery seed. The recipe made more than I was expecting, enough to dress about 9 cups of cabbage and 1 cup of carrot. Thanks for posting the recipe. We'll be enjoying this for quite a few days.

I was out of celery seed and subbed celery salt and reduced the amount of salt. Easy and very good with a simple cabbage, carrot, cukes, heirloom tomato, green onion salad with a garnish of fresh basil. Made for Help a Naked Recipe game.

Fast...easy...and perfect. Thanks... a traditional flavor that got even better the next day! I have to admit I had a brain freeze the first time I made it and f-o-r-g-o-t to add the mustard and celery seed. It was stilll delicious...LOL This is a very forgiving "ya can't go wrong" recipe for sure!

I went to make coleslaw in a hurry and realized I was out of vinegar! But look, here's some rice vinegar - what can I make with this? That's how I found your recipe. I have to admit I like a sweeter coleslaw dressing and added additional sugar, but the base recipe is delicious. It made enough for 2 small bags. I like making it a little dry because it always gets more moist as it sits. Thanks!

WOW! I was so proud of myself for making this - it turned out perfect!! I did substitute using celery salt for the regular salt and still used the celery seed also. I had a 16 oz bag of cabbage slaw and the amount of dressing I made wasn't quite enough for that amount of cabbage. So I doubled the recipe - then had to get another little bag of cabbage so that I could use all of the dressing I made. It was so darn good!!!!! I will definitely be making it again and again and again! Thanks Lennie!!

I will NEVER buy cole slaw dressing again!!!!!! Fast and easy with everything already in my pantry!!! This was the best cole slaw dressing I've ever had, my husband, the chef, loved it too! I only made one minor change, 1 1/2tbs of sugar was enough for us.

Great dressing! I agree, HALF the recipe is plenty for a 14 oz. bag of cole slaw.
I also used celery salt (and left out the additional l/2 tsp of salt) and used
apple cider vinegar. So easy, so good! Thanks Lennie.

This was a great go-to recipe for coleslaw dressing! No more expensive bottled dressings for me! It is so easy, it's almost embarrassing that I have been buying bottled dressing for so long!
